Desire Books and Records nestles at one end of a jewel box Deco arcade with shining terrazzo and a mysterious oculus that could be a portal to an alternate universe.When you enter Desire you are greeted by staff who are there because they share the enchantment. Rich vinyl sounds of Parker, Dizzy, or Dylan fill the air and you could reasonably expect to see Anais Nin or Sylvia Plath or Alan Ginsberg browzing the well organised shelves. Not to be missed.
