  What an experience. We found ourselves in Manly area while running an errand and thought "Hey let's try out this place for lunch." It wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon so we found it had a very pleasant and relaxing vibe. We decided to go for the degustation menu and I must say, it was spectacular. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Everything was simply amazing. The effort and thought given to each dish was very telling. Rodney was incredibly friendly and made our experience a delightful one. I will be back here again for sure and cannot recommend this place enough.

  Amazing food, service and ambiance. What a fabulous experience at the Herring Room, we have already booked our next dinner. Ang, Rod and Joey could not have done anything more for us and the food was spectacular, our new favourite in Manly.

  The service is so good that it alone deserves a 5 star. The owner greets you at the door and makes sure everything is perfect. The food is amazing and the 5 course degustation with salmon, scallop, duck, octopus and desert will not disappoint.

  Fantastic lunch at The Herring Room. Great atmosphere & ever so friendly service from the owners Angie & Roger. Delicious food, excellent presentation & super tasty. A mix of modern Australian with some French cooking influence & a hint of Greek. The Greek influence is done so cleverly. Loved the braised octopus with the scordalia & the rabbit schnitzel was something unusual but ever so tasty. You have to do the mushroom risotto, the best ever! We were looked after from start to finish & had a great meal. Looking forward to visiting with friends & introducing them to this place.

  After looking at Manly as best we could, it was time to find an appropriate restaurant for our review. Of course, this must have been a seafood place. Pretty soon, the decision was made on "The Herring Room". The service was fantastic. Very accommodating and friendly with great recommendations, even though she took care of every table on her own. The food was really delicious. Now I have to say that we have been pretty disappointed in Sydney until now, but here the taste, the preparation was really perfect. In short, an excellent restaurant with excellent cuisine!
